Camp Loyaltown

Welcome to Camp Loyaltown

Seven campers and camp counselors at Camp Loyaltown

Camp Loyaltown offers children and adults with developmental disabilities a safe, welcoming camp experience in a natural, outdoor setting in Hunter, NY. Each day, people swim, explore nature, create art, care for animals, and take part in group activities that build connection and confidence. Here, campers build independence, form real friendships, and try new things in a supportive environment.

For more than 50 years, Camp Loyaltown has been a trusted resource for generations of families. Families trust Camp Loyaltown because they know skilled and caring staff support their loved one. That team includes experienced professionals from Citizens Options Unlimited, alongside international counselors who bring energy, perspective, and a strong sense of community to camp life. Together, they create an environment that is structured, where choice is encouraged and each camper can decide how to spend their day. Because of this, families can step back, knowing support is in place, and take the time they need to rest and recharge. Many campers return year after year, building memories and lasting friendships.

Camp Loyaltown is part of a network of provider organizations based on Long Island, NY. Together, this network is one of the largest providers of services for children and adults with developmental disabilities in New York State. As a result, Camp Loyaltown draws on deep experience, strong leadership, and highly trained staff.

Camp Loyaltown is accredited by the American Camp Association and operates under an annual permit from the Department of Health, with inspections conducted before and during the camp season.
