Weekend respite takes place on AHRC Nassau’s Brookville campus in Nassau County, Long Island—close to home and easy for families across the area to access. It is designed to give families a reliable block of time each weekend. For many families, this means time to focus on themselves, spend time with other children, or take care of things that are hard to manage during the week—knowing their loved one is supported by trained, experienced staff. People take part in structured and social activities throughout the day in a safe and engaging environment.

Camp Loyaltown: Summer Respite Camp in Hunter, NY
Camp Loyaltown is located in Hunter, NY in the Catskill Mountains and offers a traditional overnight camp experience (1-week and 2-week sessions) for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Camp Loyaltown is located in the Catskill Mountains, 2 and 1/2 hours north of New York City and 3 hours north of Nassau County’s western border. Each year, more than 600 campers enjoy the wonders of the outdoors in a safe and fun environment.
