Celebrating 25, 30, 35 and 40 Years
On July 13th, employees of Citizens Options Unlimited and partner agency AHRC Nassau got together to honor some big work anniversaries at the annual Milestone Achievement Dinner. The event was catered by Wheatley Farms and began with some opening words from Sallyanne Burgess, Vice President of Operations, and Stanfort J. Perry, Chief Executive Officer.
“I truly, from the bottom of my heart, cannot thank each and every one of you for your years of service to this wonderful organization,” said Sallyanne Burgess. “One thing I can say for the employees of Citizens, never forget that the most important thing we have to take care of is the people we support. Every day you come to work…their eyes light up. So, I thank you for that gift that you give to the people we support every day.”
This was our family of organization’s first time hosting the Milestones event since 2019, due to the pandemic. The event was hosted for employees who reached milestone work anniversaries between the years 2020 – 2022; those celebrating milestones in 2023 will be recognized at another time.
“Each of you are jewels to us and to the individuals and families that you have formed relationships with for decades now,” Stanfort J. Perry said. “I know I speak for all of them when I talk about the bonds that have been formed – of respect, of caring, of love and of commitment that you have formed through the dedication of years of service to this organization.”
Across our family of organizations, we had 789 employees recognized for tenures of 5+ years, each who will receive a monetary gift on their next paycheck and be highlighted in a special edition newsletter.
“We look forward to celebrating many more milestones with each of you in the years to come. Thank you all for your hard work,” Stanfort said.
Employees who reached 25, 30, 35, and 40-year milestones were invited to dinner at the Brookville mansion and received a gift from Wheatley Farms.
