Autumn Vibes at Citizens
Autumn is a festive season, filled with adventure, celebrations, and plenty of fall fun for people supported by Citizens Residential Services, Respite Connections and Camp Loyaltown.
Fall Day Trips
Nothing says fall like apple and pumpkin picking. Housemates and staff from the Ontario Avenue residence in Plainview enjoyed a visit to the White Post Farms Fall Festival in Melville on Oct. 18, complete with animal encounters and pumpkin picking. On Oct. 24, the ladies from the Pickwick Avenue residence in Syosset took a scenic trip to Babylon and Lindenhurst to see extraordinary neighborhood Halloween displays.
Halloween Parties
On Halloween, the Helen Kaplan Center ICF hosted its annual Halloween party, bringing housemates and staff from across the campus together for a festive afternoon filled with costumes, themed music, crafts, and snacks! At Respite Connections, on Nov. 1, attendees arrived at the Brookville campus dressed up and ready to party with their friends. Together they danced, sang, and marked the end of the Halloween season.
Adding Autumn and Halloween Flair
Citizens locations embraced the Halloween spirit with colorful decorations and cozy autumn touches. At the Citizens office in Plainview, Peter Hadfield, a Camp Loyaltown camper and a Maintenance Assistant at the Plainview office, decorated the space for the season! Across Suffolk and Nassau counties, Citizens residences were decorated inside and out. A standout included the Port Washington Boulevard residence, which was beautifully decorated with vibrant and colorful fall mums.
