Vaccination Pod Assists People Supported and Citizens Staff
This Saturday, people supported by Citizens and staff were part of a vaccination pod, planned by the AHRC Nassau, CDNY, PHP and Community Care Rx. A total of 125 people were vaccinated. This weekend’s success was due in large part to an engaged team focused on creating a healthier future for all. #kickcovidtothecurb#CovidVaccineClinic#IGotTheShot
Wanda Simpson, Direct Support Professional, wanted to receive the vaccine because she has an 85-year-old grandmother she wants to protect!
Casmore Henlon, Assistant Manager of Residential, said that it was “good to have the vaccine.”
Bill Rouge, Maintenance Supervisor, said vaccination “seems like the right thing to do.”
Lauren Jaquay, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and Emelyn Valladares, Senior Behavior Intervention Specialist, both wanted the vaccine because they thought it was safe for them to do so, and to protect their families.
