Honoring Standout Staff Members at Employee of the Quarter Event
The Brookville Mansion was alive with celebration on January 16 as Citizens Options Unlimited gathered to honor outstanding team members at the Employee of the Quarter luncheon. More than an awards ceremony, the event served as a tribute to the compassion, dedication, and creativity these staff members bring to their work each day, shaping the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“The truly fortunate of us who work in this field know that our work is much more than a job. These staff members exemplify that every day in unique and meaningful ways. They create lasting memories, shared experiences, and countless moments of unexpected joy. It’s truly a privilege to celebrate them today,” said Sallyanne Burgess, vice president of operations.
This quarter’s honorees included Maura Boden, Assistant Director at Shoreham ICF; Christopher Polistena, Assistant Director of Behavioral Health Services; and Nicole Banovich, Director of Nursing. Also honored were Norma Mendoza, Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Helen Kaplan Center; Donnette Gurrier, Assistant Manager of Food Services; and Richard Sano, Porter Assistant at the Plainview office.
